On Friday October 12, 2012 at the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, Information Technology Security expert and author, Raj Goel, will be presenting “What Should Medical Practices know about HIPAA/HITECH Compliance.”

 

Goel’s presentation will describe HIPAA and its new changes and greater penalties. He will discuss the FTC Breach Rule as well where organizations that are not bound by HIPAA must report breaches. He will talk about the problem of ID theft that can not only lose data, but also lose customers. There will be real world case studies of the effects of HIPAA as well throughout his presentation.
